If you’ve been following my photography journey for any length of time now, you know newborn sessions are my jam. The laid-back, in-home and barefooted, snuggle-fest kind. I think it’s in part because our newborn photos are some of my favorite photos (thanks Allison Fowler), even though our daughter was awake and angry for the majority of the time. It’s hands down some of the most special moments to capture in a new family.
All of my newborn sessions thus far have been a couple’s first babe, but this one was different and special in the best way.
We had a big sister this time. This wasn’t just any family either! The Scisms were one of the first families that I EVER photographed, like ever. I’m talking still trying to figure out how to work my camera in the moment kind of family.
Heather was barely showing with their new baby girl at the time and I remember thinking how cool it would be if, down the road, they called me back for their newborn photos! Well, I must have done something right because their newborn session went down a few weeks ago and I couldn’t be more obsessed with how these turned out.
Big sister Brooke had been a little apprehensive about Hailey but she turned on the charm for us during the session! The light was beautiful, baby Hailey was a perfect angel, and the doggo even jumped in few shots. Below are a few of my favorites, and if you scroll all the way to down, you’ll see some snaps from our first session 😊
I couldn’t be happier for this sweet family and I cannot wait to continue capturing their families’ special moments in the future.
Here are some snaps from our first session!
