The Journey Begins

“Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter.”

— Izaak Walton

Thanks for joining me!

I’ve loved photography for years now. Every time Chad (my devilishly handsome husband, pictured above) and I would get photos done – I wouldn’t really be able to sleep the night of the shoot and would check my email constantly waiting for that download link. I would stalk my photographer’s social media for the slightest sneak peek or preview. Our house is filled, not with art or paintings, but with family photos – so is my parent’s house. So, when my daughter was born – the love grew to obsession. I’m that Mom that when asked to show a photo of my child, I show you 47. Sorry, not sorry – she’s really stinking cute. I digress.

My daughter is now 9 months old, and increasingly more difficult to photograph and has no interest in sitting still. That being said, after absolutely CRUSHING (in a good way) our Christmas photos for this year, I started thinking. Why not turn my obsession into a hobby and spread the joy and excitement around?! JLT photography was born that night. I posted in a local Mom2Mom Facebook group asking for volunteers to practice on and got an overwhelming response. The first shoot, I did was hooked. I came home so excited! I edited and sent photos that night to the mom who so graciously shared her kids with me. Turns out, sending someone great photos of their kids is just as special and heart-warming as receiving them.

So, there it is… the beginning of what is hopefully a beautiful journey. I am in the process of spreading the word and getting my name out there, so please feel free to share and pass along my information.

Visit my page on Facebook and Instagram pages to see a few photos while I am in the process of getting the website up and running. If you have made it this far, you are probably related to me or really awesome/patient/maybe a little bored.

Either way, I appreciate the support and I look forward to you all coming on this adventure with me.
